L’etoile at The Saint Paul Hotel

This bridal sanctuary was designed to provide a special place for wedding day preparations.  The venue was brainchild of a management staff member, and entailed converting an existing storage room, on an upper guest room floor, into a dressing room for wedding parties.

High level finishes were specified to compensate for diminutive proportions, and to make a dramatic, luxurious statement.  Polished Carrara marble flooring and vanity tops, white enameled paneling, and metallic mosaic tiles were accented with large beveled mirrors to brighten and visually expand the space.  A central domed ceiling coffer, clad in hand applied silver leaf, features a crystal chandelier, while coordinating sconces appoint each of the four built-in vanity stations.  Shimmering details like the crystal buttons that adorn the deeply tufted custom chaise lounge and fixtures with a golden finish make the space shine.

The elegant neutral finishes can be highlighted with colored, indirect architectural lighting, programmable to coordinate with the wedding parties' color palettes.  Modern elements juxtaposed with the sophisticated finishes add to the glamorous vibe, which is geared at appealing to the predominately youthful guests.

The space contains a bathroom with shower and a small pantry, and there is a special menu offering for L’etoile.  This “jewelry box” as one wedding planner called it, has been well received as a complement to the hotel's wedding program, and is usually sold out months in advance.
